Sharon and I decided that we needed to go down to the Virginia Tech campus on Saturday, April 21. Even though we both graduated 30 years ago, it has always felt like home, and we felt compelled to go home at this time of deep sorrow.
I think being there and seeing all the memorials helped us to start the healing process. It was amazing to see all the posters and signs of support from schools and people all across the country. I took pictures of lots of the memorials and remembrances, and have put them online. There are about 270 photos. The album includes photos from our entire day there, including a softball game and a community picnic.

VT Campus Memorials and Remembrances
The Hokie Spirit Memorial Ride occurred on June 2. It started at Rappahanock High School in Washington, VA (near Sperryville), and they rode done to Virginia Tech as a fund raiser for the Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund. Matt (my son) was one of the riders. I went up to the starting point and took some photos. You can see them by clicking here.
